OWN is an American basic cable network that mainly focuses on the Lifestyle and Home genre. This channel belongs to Discovery Inc and it is aired on almost all the leading cable and satellite television networks in the United States.

- Verify your HD access. Ensure that you have activated high definition or HD service on this account. The Own needs an HD receiver, and HD access to watch the 1279 channel variant.
- Check your guide listings. Switch to channels 279 and 1279 without any delay to check if there is some text message indicating the program. If it does, then there is nothing wrong and you should be able to see the channel.
