If the receiver is off, then yes the code is effective. Otherwise, go back to step 3 and enter a new code on the line above the text that precedes it. If a working code is found, press and hold the Setup button again until the Mode buttons blink twice. The remote exits programming mode and your code is now saved.

- Press Channel Up or Down instead of typing in a code. The remote scans through codes and sees if there is a match.
